I designed the website first by making a mock up and then writing the html/css out by hand in Notepad ++. I made it responsive using media queries (but that was actually before I had taken a class on responsive design, so it could be a little clunky... but it works).
I designed Tanna's logo, menu and specials announcements, as well as selecting the stock photography based on her request for the Plumeria flower and her preference for a blue and purple color scheme. She chose the domain name and I did all the administrative coordination to get the site online.
I had a lot of fun playing with webkit css but didn't include any of it in the final design due to issues that came up in testing. I used webfonts.
The mobile version is ultra simple, straightforward and fast loading because it's likely people would be using their data to pull it up on their phones in a hurry to look up pricing, coupons, payment methods, the address/phone number, etc.
Services Menu - displayed only on the desktop version of the site, a text/html version is displayed for mobile and tablet users.
